How To View and Send Messages

We live in an age of information, and when you’re bidding on an item, the more information, the better. We make it easy for you to communicate with both bidders and auction houses from with in the Sharp Auction Engine system. Simply sign in to your account and follow the steps below.

Step 1: Click the envelope icon.

From your home screen, locate the envelope icon in the top right-hand corner.

From this screen, you can view and send messages within the system, just like your regular email.

NOTE: As an auctioneer, you can send messages as an auction house OR as a bidder. You can toggle between the two types of messages by clicking the titles highlighted below.

Step 2: Compose a message.

Click “Compose new message” to send a message from within the system.

Step 3a: When sending messages as a bidder:

Enter one or more characters in the “To auction houses” field to see a dropdown menu of auction houses to contact.

Select the auction house you wish to contact from the drop down menu.

Step 3b: When sending messages as an auction house:

Choose the user, or bidder, you wish to message from the list provided.

Step 4: Compose a message and send.

Fill in the subject and body of the message, and click the “Send message” button when you’re ready to send.

Step 5: View replies.

Return to the messaging screen to review replies to messages you’ve sent.

Super! Communication is key for any relationship. Now that you know how to use the Sharp Auction Engine to communicate with auction houses and bidders, you’re ready to make some great deals.
